I did!! I've been there twice. Once for a two-week vacation, and then once to study Japanese for three months. It was amazing and I always hope that I can go back eventually.

I did indeed! Unfortunately I've lost a lot of it since I haven't really used it much, but I can still read Katakana and Hiragana, and I still understand stuff here and there. I was never strong on speaking it, though. XD

And people say English is the hardest language! XD
But personally, I think it would be hard to learn any language that's not your native one, unless you started learning it at a very young age. Sentence order and grammar and stuff like that gets all messed up, and you're not used to it. Plus, Japanese has symbols! DX
